SHORES ACRES ES – PROTOTYPE CLASSROOM ADDITION
Shores Acres Elementary School is located at 1800 62nd Ave. NE, St. Petersburg, FL in Pinellas County and is owned by the District School Board of Pinellas County, FL.
The Shore Acres ES project includes the addition of an approximate 8,000 SF single-story building to the existing Shore Acres ES campus.
The building will be of a pre-cast wall and roof assembly construction and house six individual classrooms with support spaces and restrooms. Additional work includes site work to fill a prep building pad and modifications and extension of underground utilities. In addition to the Classroom Addition, the entire elementary school campus will have upgrades implemented to the existing Chiller Plant and selective low voltage systems. Project
Dallas 1 is under Subcontract with AJAX Building Company of Oldsmar, FL for site work and utilities. The Civil Engineer is Coastal Design Consultants of New Port Richey, FL. Dallas 1’s scope of work includes erosion control and environmental protection; demolition; clearing and grubbing; relocation and removal of existing site utilities; excavation; backfill and grading; site water systems; sanitary sewer systems; site stormwater system; asphalt and concrete paving; and removal and replacement of existing improvements.
Samantha Gardner, Dallas 1’s Assistant Project Manager along with John Camp as Superintendent are overseeing the project and it is expected to be completed in June 2021.
